Nipomo Horizonte Arena Outdoor Travel Blanket

$86.00

Nipomo's Horizonte Collection simplifies the intersection of the sky and the earth into three bands of color. Creating a calming collection of colors perfect for inside or out.

Their new color-ways are inspired by textures, experiences, and patterns found in nature. Arena means sand and, sure, sand sometimes gets a bad wrap for always finding its way into your bed. But! Think of those warm summer days when you lay a blanket down on the warm sand and take in the sun for hours. That's the kind of sand Nipomo was thinking of when they designed this color-way. Sandy tones pair up nicely with the light blue of a clear sunny day.

These blankets are large enough for sharing with friends or use them all on your own to get cozy by a fire. They roll up and transport easily with the included leather strap.

The blankets are designed by Nipomo at their home base in San Francisco and hand woven in Mexico by skilled artisans. Their leather straps are hand-made by the owner's mother out of vegetable tanned leather that ages nicely with use.

All of the yarn used in making the Nipomo blankets comes from recycled clothing production remnants, so you can feel good cozying up in their blankets that use fabric waste that would otherwise head to the landfill.

  • Blankets are machine washable on cold gentle cycle, lay flat to dry.
  • Made from 100% mixed recycled fibers
  • Dimensions: Unfolded: 83" x 51", Rolled: ~ 16.5" x 6.5"
  • *Please note that blankets and leather straps are hand made and colors may vary slightly
Nipomo was born from a mother and daughter team to celebrate the local craft and traditions of Mexico and California through collaborating with skilled artisans from their home country of Mexico. Designing a modern product with traditional methods of making allows them to create unique products while preserving a slice of history, art, and craft. Their collection of functional goods proudly supports traditional makers and their communities in both Mexico and California.
