Nipomo Tierra Pistacho Outdoor Travel Blanket

$86.00

This season Nipomo's new color-ways are inspired by fruits and nuts. We think picnics aren’t complete without delicious fresh snacks, so they picked out a few diverse fruits and nuts to inspire our color-ways this Spring.

The pistacho color-way is named after the tasty and sometimes hard to eat pistachio nut. Pistacho is Spanish for pistachio, it’s so similar autocorrect always gets confused. We love how the natural shell color contrasts with the fresh green color inside. Crack a few open at the park while chilling on this blanket.

Nipomo's "Tierra Collection" blankets are perfect for hanging out at the park, beach, or even keeping warm around a campfire. This collection is perfect for beach lounging or keeping warm around a campfire. They are big enough for a 2 - 4 person picnic and roll up in thirds for easy transport. The blankets are designed by Nipomo at their home base in San Francisco and hand woven in Mexico by skilled artisans. Their leather straps are hand-made by the owner's mother out of vegetable tanned leather that ages nicely with use.

All of the yarn used in making the Nipomo blankets comes from recycled clothing production remnants, so you can feel good cozying up in their blankets that use fabric waste that would otherwise head to the landfill.

  • Blankets are machine washable on cold gentle cycle, lay flat to dry.
  • Made from 100% mixed recycled fibers
  • Dimensions: Unfolded: 83" x 51", Rolled: ~ 16.5" x 6.5"
  • *Please note that blankets and leather straps are hand made and colors may vary slightly
Nipomo was born from a mother and daughter team to celebrate the local craft and traditions of Mexico and California through collaborating with skilled artisans from their home country of Mexico. Designing a modern product with traditional methods of making allows them to create unique products while preserving a slice of history, art, and craft. Their collection of functional goods proudly supports traditional makers and their communities in both Mexico and California.
